Sub-Executive Recruitment Semester 2 2023

The UQWN is looking to recruit new members for our Sub-Executive Committee!

The UQ Women’s Network is UQ’s first multi-disciplinary society dedicated to the success of young women, with a community of over 300 students and generous support from 22 sponsor firms. In 2024, we are looking for ways to grow and benefit our members by building a diverse and passionate committee - and we would love if you were a part of it!

As a sub-executive member, you can expect to assist with the planning and promotion of UQWN events, building the membership base and supporting the executive committee in their roles throughout the year. In return, successful applicants will receive unique industry exposure by assisting the Executive team maintain relations with our leading BEL and STEM-focused sponsor firms, be in a strong position for an executive role in the future, and be a part of a supportive and exciting team of like-minded young women!

We are looking for applicants who:

• Identify as a female;
• Have at least 2 years remaining in their undergraduate degree;
• Have ideas for how the how the society can continue to grow and inspire UQ students;
• Are passionate about empowering and progressing women in the workplace; and
• Are a team player.

Applications close 6pm Monday, 30th October. Interviews for eligible applicants will be held on campus in the following days.
